Greetings! My name is Callia and I hail from Northeast Ohio, originally, and have just moved to Santa Maria for the year. I'm a current trainee of the Kingdom of Mirkwood, under the tutelage of Oger Wolfcaller, though my time there and with him was limited.
Since there are no groups up this way and I'm dying to fight, I'm planning on driving down to the July 3rd Fight to get my bearings, then tentatively attend the campout the following weekend.
My question is about the area I'm going to be driving into. Having never driven off the highway in LA, I'm a little leery of doing so while not knowing where I'm going or who I'm meeting up with. Is there anything I should be aware of? Areas to definitely not stop in or money I need to have for parking or things like that? I did read that you will have banners posted once I get close to the site, so I'll keep my eye out for those.
