Hail Rhajin - glad you made it over. We started a discussion earlier about having some more state-wide and regional events, like the Battle for the Ring and Fools Raid (in Vegas in early April). I've got a new chapter up here in Norcal, very close to the Bel Salamandastron realm (and old Pelargir), and I'm looking for events for them to attend.
Aggelgorod, the LA Dagorhir chapter has a couple of campouts planned at Mt. Pinos (look at their events page for details) in July and August. They're at altitude, so it should be pleasant despite the time of year.
We're also looking for camping sites up here in the north so we can invite you guys when it is hot down south (and would love to plan some events for the Spring/Fall/Winter down there where it is warmer).

Making it out of the Desert is almost always a tedious task, But getting a chance to make it out of this summer heat for a weekend would be awesome! I'm always around if you need ideas.
And speaking of fall events... Some of the other guys here in Desert Wind were hoping to plan something for Halloween.
Right now, since we've never hosted an event before, we're trying to get the word out, that our group is trying to plan something and see how people react to it.
If the excitement over said event seems worth it, then The next step is to figure out what activities to do during it. Then find a good place to hold the event. The main prize is going to be a jack o'lantern filled with goodies and maybe a really nice weapon or a piece of garb! The event would be called.. well... "Battle for the Jack O'Lantern."
